We have a wide variety of feature stories right here on NurseConnect, but I’ve come across some interesting articles by way of other sites that I wanted to share with the NurseConnect community, and that I enjoyed reading myself.

Health.com spoke to Judy Reyes, actress on hit comedy Scrubs. I really enjoyed reading this straightforward, candid interview with the actress, Scrubs Star Judy Reyes: Give Nurses the Props They Deserve. She talks about how nurses inspire her to do her job as an actress. Be sure to check this one out.

Can texting save a patient’s life? Well, for all you text-savvy nurses, I think you’ll enjoy reading  NurseZone.com’s, Text Messaging Simplifies Communication for Nurses and Hospitals. Read on to see how some hospitals are moving to text messaging in high need, urgent situations.

I found this article, RN Takes on Travel Nursing to Postpone Retirement on TravelNursing.com. For those of you considering travel nursing or making a change late in your career, it offers a very positive experience from the perspective of a seasoned nurse.

One of my favorite news and information sites is iVillage.com. On this site, I came across a number of articles featuring nursing, and found an article, Nurses Left Out of Medical Error Talks especially interesting. How comfortable are you in talking to patients about errors? Do you want to be more involved in this process? This latest study shows that most nurses do want to be more involved.

Have you come across any interesting articles, lately? Please share them with us.
